Mark researched our holiday in Wales this year and I had full faith in him booking it without me even having to visit their website, he sold it to my like this….”it’s a geodesic dome, situated in 200 acres of farm land with an ancient oak forest. There are comfortable beds, cooking utensils etc are provided in our private outdoor kitchen and breakfast is included”. Yes! breakfast is included! It’s all the benefits of living outside but without having to take any of the clobber, now thats what I call camping! And to top it all, there is a Sauna and an external COLD shower - heaven. We could have gone for a more expensive site with an onsen but for us, the sauna was suffice.
The kids were so excited when the doors to the dome were first opened and we were greeted by a log burner, beautiful welsh wool blankets and a sheep skin, it was sooo cosy.
We thoroughly enjoyed wandering around the whole site, especially the kitchen gardens from where all their beautiful picked flowers came, oh and the bar was a highlight too of course - selling delicious local beers.
We wandered up to the garden……
And had a few days out….
Their recommendations of places to go were spot on too, we spent a day at Pen Bryn beach where the jelly fish had landed to show off their beauty, on another day we wound our way down to the Witches Cauldron and on our last day we meandered along the footpath from our dome to the Nature Reserve for a delicious lunch.
We had equally delicious suppers at The Ferry Inn at St Dogmaels, Pizzatipi - located on Cardigan quay side - their own outdoor pizza restaurant and brilliant bits and bobs for our BBQ from Dewi James Butchers also in Cardigan.
