Why are you so passionate about shooting weddings?  I absolutely love the atmosphere of adoration!  Weddings encapsulate so much love between entire families and I love being immersed in that excitement and anticipation.  Even though I barely know anyone and I hide in the background, I can’t help myself getting emotionally engaged in the heart warming festivities.  I’m such a sucker for romance and that can be seen and felt in the work I produce for you.  

How would you describe your style?  On the day:  Documentary, unobtrusive and with as much natural light as possible.

I’ve been told many times that my warm personality has a knack of putting camera shy people at ease, whilst also being able to encourage the extrovert to perform in front of the camera!

Post production:  I shoot Raw on manual with Canon equipment.  Working on each image individually I use colour enhancement and custom filter techniques to create sumptuous photographs which encapsulate the atmosphere whilst maintain a timeless appearance.  You'll often receive a mixture between colour and black and white images depending on the scene.

Do you offer an engagement/pre wedding mini-shoot?  Yes, you can be reassured that getting to know me before the wedding day will subdue any anxieties. Trust is developed as you get a feel for how I work and in turn you become more comfortable in front of my camera.  It’s important that you have the right photographer for your day and all the preceding conversations a long way go in building our professional friendship.

Can I request certain images to be taken?  Of course you can, this is your day and I do what you want!  

Group shots can be as formal or as informal as you wish.  During our planning stages we will assign a trustworthy friend with a pre-made list to help gather the relevant people at the relevant time to limit disruption.  When I find little pockets of perfect light which are perfect for taking portraits, I may whisk you away for a breather.   This is usually as the sun begins to set and can be a tender, romantic time when you can wallow in your love.  I use a little bit of simple direction to get the most out of the light.  But don't worry, I won't make you do any forced posing, this time is led by you doing what you two do most comfortably!

If you chose not to have group shots I like to know in advance who your nearest and dearest are so that I get plenty of candid coverage of them.

What if it rains?  Don't panic!  We carry on enjoying your day.  Rain never poses as a problem, we adapt accordingly.  I'll either find us an inside space with beautiful natural light or we embrace the weather with interesting and unexpected results!  We can plan our portraits around the weather forecast and use umbrellas in-between.  There is always a solution and we have to lean into what ever happens!

How much does it cost to have an additional hour?  Shhh, don’t tell anybody but by the end of the day I’m a terrible time keeper and quite often stay longer if the party is still in full swing - just give me the nod and I won’t outstay my welcome!!

When will we be able to see the images?  When I upload your photographs to an external drive on the evening of your wedding for safe keeping, I often send out a few low resolution images as a sneak peak and possibly for your social media use.  Then I aim to have the fully edited images in an online gallery 3 weeks after your special day.  I only take a few wedding bookings a year to ensure that I am giving you my full attention providing you with a fast and efficient service.  

Do you require a deposit?  50% of the package price is to be paid at the time of booking to secure your date with the total being paid two months before.  

If I have to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances will you refund me?  If you have to cancel you will receive a full refund if you cancel two months before the wedding date otherwise unfortunately the fee is non refundable.  I’m sorry I have to do this but the cancelation reduces the likelihood that I will get another booking on that day.

Do you have a back up plan for the possibility of you having to cancel?  Yes, I know a network of other photographers who I can recommend for you to contact.  If I cancel, you will receive any payments made to me in full.

Do you have public liability insurance?  I most certainly do.

Can we opt out of having our photographs published on your website and social media channels for your marketing purposes?  Indeed you can, just let me know.
